Tourmaline is a very unique type of precious stones. Tourmaline is known since ancient Egyptian times, this stone can absorb all the light from the rainbow through the sun. The composition of tourmaline stones is complicated, complex and not easily understood. Tourmaline stones have a strong value of 7.5 based on a list of Mohs scale. Tourmaline stones are categorized as the precious stone and occupy at number five after diamond, corundum, chrysoberyl and topaz.
Chinese people often combine the tourmaline stone with jade stone as a unique blend of jewelry. One characteristic of tourmaline stone can be seen while it’s rubbed by hand; then the stone will become a magnet and will attract small objects such as pieces of paper or cork.
